The game consists of 7 rounds with four phases: Reveal cards, Play cards, Distribute medals, Draw new cards.
During the Reveal phase, cards are sorted into a maximum of 5 piles, each of the same value; each pile contains no more than 3 cards.
During the playing phase, you take turns laying down a combination of matching values. However, no one may play exactly the same combination of value and number that someone else has already played in this round.
The player who has played the most fan cards in this round receives the gold medal.
The player who played the second-most cards receives the silver medal. If there are four or five players, the bronze medal goes to the player who played the third-most cards.
If multiple players have played the same number of cards, the player who played the card with the higher value receives the more valuable medal.
At the end of the game, each medal is worth as many points as shown on it.
After each round, you select new cards from the face-up piles. The player who played the highest value in this round goes first.
If multiple players have played cards of the same value, the player who played more cards gets to choose a pile first.
The next round begins with the player who won the gold medal in the previous round.
After 7 rounds, the cards in your hand are scored in the Grande Finale.
The fan cards in your hand that meet the scoring conditions on the Grande Finale fan are counted.
The player with the most cards receives the gold Grande Finale medal; the player with the second-most receives the silver.
In the event of a tie for first or second place in the Grande Finale, all players tied for that position receive a gold or silver Grande Finale medal, respectively.
Second place is also awarded even if multiple players are tied for first place.
Points from medals and Grande Finale medals are added together.
The player with the most points wins the game.
